Pair this flavorful, medium-bodied wine with grilled steak, fried tofu with spicy ginger-sesame sauce or roasted vegetables. Braised short ribs are also a good match.
Red Wine by Fausse Piste from Yakima Valley, Washington. 100% Syrah sourced from Mike Sauer's Marcoux Block at the celebrated Red Willow Vineyard in the far Northwest reaches of the Yakima Valley. Fausse Piste's one acre block Planted at the very top of the vineyard provides us with a small amount of older vine iconic fruit from the Pioneers of Syrah in Washington State. In 2010 the Yakima Valley experienced an unusually long and cool vintage, leading to darker colors and deeper aromatics while preserving acidity - a bit of a nail biter towards early October when frost damage was forecasted but relented until the 12th.
