Red Wine by Northstar from Columbia Valley, Washington. Stella, as Northstar affectionately refers to this Reserve red blend, is always a fun wine to create and the 2008 vintage is no exception. Layers of smoke, vanilla, spice, raspberry, and cherry flavors on a soft and silky palate make this a very approachable, versatile winethat can be enjoyed with everything from pizza to prime rib. Blend: 46% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Syrah
Red Wine by Chateau Belle-Vue from Medoc, France - Bordeaux.
Red Wine by Cadence from Yakima Valley, Washington. The nose opens with cherries and dust, completely evocative of the vineyard on a warm harvest afternoon. There is beautiful deep berry intensity on the palate. This leads to the supplest Tapteil tannins I've tasted in a long time with a quiet acidity and a powerful finish that doesn't stop. An expressive vintage, completely open right now but destined for long term greatness as well. Blend: 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc
Red Wine by Chateau Branaire-Ducru from St-Julien, France - Bordeaux. An attractive bouquet of red and black fruit, lovely and fresh, clear-cut and complex. Dense and round on the palate, it is powerful yet elegant.
