White Wine by Schug from Sonoma County, California. This well-balanced Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from cooler vineyards in the southern end of the Sonoma Coast AVA. The Hi-Vista vineyard in western Carneros and the Grossi vineyard north of Petaluma contribute spice and brighttangy acidity. The Leveroni vineyard south of Sonoma contributes the unique floral character of the Sauvignonmusque clone. The resulting blend has a bouquet of nectarine and grapefruit zest, leading to lush fruit flavors ofkiwi, lime and grapefruit. It finishes with a refreshing minerality and zesty acidity that makes it an idealaccompaniment to a wide range of soups, salads and shellfish dishes.
White Wine by Wines of Substance from Columbia Valley, Washington. 2013 was the warmest vintage since 2003, and cooled off just in time for harvest. The resulting wines were less likely to tip over into overripe flavors or high alcohol levels, and picking proceeded at a normal pace. The very warm vintage cooled down in mid-September allowing us to pick at the perfect moment in the first week of October. This gave us generous, full-flavored wine, while still Keeping focus.
White Wine by Sivas-Sonoma from Sonoma County, California. The 2013 Sivas-Sonoma Sauvignon Blanc exudes a juicy, green apple and appealing herbaceous aroma complemented by bright citrus and melon flavors, a hint of minerality and refreshing acidity. Additional subtle flavors of Meyer lemon, guava and grapefruit meld seamlessly on the palate and contribute to a multilayered mouthfeel that is, at once rich and creamy, yet crisp and bright.
