White Wine by Michael David Winery from California. Exploding with flavor! Intense and vividly focused, with plenty of fruit and herb flavors. So juicy. with gooseberry and kiwi. It has a nice bright citrus acidity on the finish. Delicious on its own, but it really shines with food.
White Wine by Wines of Substance from Columbia Valley, Washington. 2013 was the warmest vintage since 2003, and cooled off just in time for harvest. The resulting wines were less likely to tip over into overripe flavors or high alcohol levels, and picking proceeded at a normal pace. The very warm vintage cooled down in mid-September allowing us to pick at the perfect moment in the first week of October. This gave us generous, full-flavored wine, while still Keeping focus.
White Wine by Geyser Peak from California. The fresh style of Sauvignon Blanc for which Geyser Peak is famous, abundant fruit flavors, with bright and crisp acidity. Geyser Peak aimed to capture the best of Sauvignon Blanc's identity by blending grassier elements (reminiscent of the Southern Hemisphere style) with citrus and mineral notes (most typical in the French style) and passion fruit and melon flavors (typical of the California New World style). As such, this Sauvignon Blanc offers authentic varietal character that can be appreciated by both the novice and the connoisseur.
White Wine by Sivas-Sonoma from Sonoma County, California. The 2013 Sivas-Sonoma Sauvignon Blanc exudes a juicy, green apple and appealing herbaceous aroma complemented by bright citrus and melon flavors, a hint of minerality and refreshing acidity. Additional subtle flavors of Meyer lemon, guava and grapefruit meld seamlessly on the palate and contribute to a multilayered mouthfeel that is, at once rich and creamy, yet crisp and bright. The long, refreshing and crisp finish lingers on the palate. The versatility of this Sauvignon Blanc allows for pairing with a wide variety of dishes. Enjoy this elegant wine with fresh sole in a lemon caper sauce or grilled shrimp and avocado salad. For more substantial fare, pair with rosemary roasted chicken and potatoes.
